Certificate in Computer Programming

Le Moyne College’s undergraduate Computer Programming certificate program is designed to prepare
students for internship, part-time, and full-time employment opportunities as an entry-level software
developer or software engineer.

Students graduating from the Le Moyne College undergraduate Computer Programming certificate
program will be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and values:
1. Program development and program design techniques,
2. Software testing strategies,
3. Approaches for expressing software design abstractions,
4. Knowledge of at least two programming languages (Python and Java), and
5. Communication, interpersonal and team skills.

Program Admission and Application Requirements

Applicants will document their interest in and motivation for pursuing this certificate program. No prior course work at an undergraduate institution is required.
